Missouri Council on Aging’s steering committee—in which St. Louis City Senior Fund is a member—is seeking an experienced leader to serve as executive director for the council.
Missouri Council on Aging is a non-partisan statewide network of organizational members and individual partners, representing diverse sectors involved with supporting older adults. The coalition is facilitated by an active Steering Committee, which also provides oversight and strategic direction. The Council received financial support in 2019 to build a statewide advocacy network and after two years of convenings, training, and regular advocacy update calls, the coalition is preparing to hire its first paid leadership position.
The executive director will be a contracted position supported by grant funding for two years, with a potential for extended employment based on available funding. Under the supervision of the Council’s steering committee, the executive director will be responsible for the overall direction of the organization and management of contractors.
This position is primarily a remote position with periodic attendance at in-person meetings. The coalition is seeking a Missouri-based person, but applicants can live anywhere in Missouri. View the job description for additional details HERE.
The Council is seeking applications through December 16 (Update: Deadline extended to January 13).
