Seventeen organizations were awarded renewals by St. Louis City Senior Fund’s executive board for a total of $791,207 in fund defined grants in the upcoming fiscal year to begin July 1 (FY2020). This brings the total of all FY2020 fund defined grants awarded to date to $1.2M. Partners receiving a second year of funding address one of two focus areas, falls prevention and economic security.
Fall Prevention Grants
For many people, an unexpected fall can result in a serious and costly injury. These grants aim to reduce fall risk and prevent falls by supporting home environment assessments, home modifications and repairs, medication reviews, and exercise and education programs. Our goal is to help older adults live safely in their home and community.

Our goal is to help older adults receive resources that help meet their basic needs, at a minimum, as defined by tools such as the Elder Economic Security Standard Index.
